BLS conservation evaluation: LC NS Sc IR Thin brown or olive-brown, +/- immersed thallus with projecting perithecia and smaller pycnidia. Asci 8-spored, the spores easily broken, 1-septate (but can appear multi-septate), 19-24 x 4-5 µm. Both macro and microconidia are present. Micrographs below Similar: Strigula jamesii has whitish-grey thallus and 3-septate spores. Porina aenea and Porina borreri lack pycnidia |
