Incertae sedis
Lichenodiplis lecanorae # Widespread and probably common on the apothecia, and occasionally thalli, of Caloplaca species. The small dark brown pycnidia are commensalistic to parasitic in the host apothecia (or more rarely in the thallus), occurring singly or in groups. Conidia are greenish brown or dark brown, 1-septate and 4-7.5 x 2-3 µm. Microscope photograph below. Similar: Occurrences on other hosts belong to other (many as yet undescribed) Lichenodiplis species. |
