Growth type lichenicolous
Specimen in lobe of Punctelia borreri

Psammina stipitata is algicolous or lichenicolous, each conidia having more than 20 arms. The arms are 21-40 x 3-4 µm, 3-7 septate with the apex rounded.

Identification is uncertain as the micrographs below are probably young conidia of Psammina filamentosa (Henk-Jan van der Kolk).
